ABOUT THE WEBINAR

‌The government policies, defence corridors and Make-I/Make-II initiatives offer incentives for manufacturing indigenous products to meet the operational and logistics needs of all three services through various platforms and mechanisms. However, this is only one side of Atmanirbhar Bharat or Self-Reliant India drive of Govt of India. Indian Air Force in its focused approach has a Directorate of Indigenisation at Air HQs that keeps publishing the list of such identified products for the purpose of indigenisation.

AVM VIVEK PILLAI VSM (RETD.) Distinguished Fellow, SRGF

The Air Marshal is an alumnus of NIT Trichy, Air Force Technical College, College of Defence Management and National Defence College. A proactive decision maker with proven track record of 35+ years in planning and executing pan India IAF strategies at various levels. Having pioneered large scale, complex and integrated projects from planning, procurement, installation, commissioning to policy formulation for operations and sustenance, he possesses in depth understanding of Defence Acquisition Procedures and policies coupled with experience of indigenisation and large project implementation in technology intensive areas.
